The Revenue Department website allows companies and individual to file their taxes online. E-tax is part of the larger national e-payment system working towards facilitating more efficient taxation.TANAPHON ONGARTTRAKULThe Revenue Department expects to complete the bidding for a big data system this year, paving the way for streamlining all electronic payment transactions into the taxation data system. The bidding will open next month and the winner will complete installation of the e-tax system by 2019, director-general of the Revenue Department Prasong Poontaneat said. The system will enable the Revenue Department to tax more efficiently through big data analytics. The Revenue Department fetched 708 billion baht in VAT for last fiscal year, of which 350 billion was VAT imposed on domestic consumption.
